Viveca
Lärn was born and raised in Gothenburg. Since her debut
in 1975, she has written over thirty books, produced drama for
both television and the theater and has also written lyrics.
She has received a great number of awards, such as the Astrid
Lindgren Prize and the Nils Holgersson Plaque. She made her
debut as a writer of adult literature in 1995 with När
solrosorna blommar, followed by Den
blå vänthallen, Livet
på marken är inte lika lätt,
Midsommarvals, Hummerfesten,
En fröjdefull jul and Sol
och vår.
Viveca Lärn has been translated into ten languages.
